What is the MFG?

The MFG is an international nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO) that enables individual zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens and related institutions to collaborate for the united purpose of conserving Madagascar’s biodiversity.  Member institutions share the costs of supporting the in-country program through the payment of annual membership dues. Explore how you can be involved in this critical effort.

Why Madagascar?

Biodiversity under Threat
Like its famous lemurs, about 90% of Madagascar's wildlife exists nowhere else on the planet. Extreme poverty and resulting deforestation endangers this unique island. This global treasure requires a international response.
